When Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff co-founded the cloud computing company back in 1999, one of the first things he did was define his management process. As he shares in his book Beyond the Cloud, Benioff wanted to put into words what his focus was and then clearly communicate it to the rest of the business. The result was the V2MOM (pronounced “V2 mom”), an acronym that stands for vision, values, methods, obstacles, and measures. Benioff says this system has helped keep everyone at the fast-growing company on the same page over the years. Below are the basic steps of Benioff’s V2MOM system. You can use them to start defining your management process.

The Wide Area Network (WAN) is in the midst of a significant evolution. Software-defined WAN (SD-WAN) is the key factor driving this evolution and bringing along with it many transformational changes. SD-WAN has enabled several new WAN uses cases, such as enabling reliable, secure and high performance support of software-as-a-service (SaaS), cloud compute, cloud storage, cloud security and the ability to use non-deterministic Internet services to provide business-class transport. The traditional WAN architecture was ill equipped to support these new use cases. As is usually the case with an emerging market, the first entrants into the SD-WAN space were start-ups. However, given the ability of SD-WAN to support both traditional and emerging WAN use cases, the market has recently been flooded with a range of vendors, solutions and technologies offering varying types of SD-WAN solutions. While having differing types of solutions provided by numerous suppliers is potentially beneficial, it

Every year, organizations spend millions of frustrating hours and countless sums of money trying to reverse the damage done by malware attacks. The harm caused by malware can be astronomical, going well beyond intellectual property loss and huge fines levied for non-compliance. In 2014, the cost of malware attacks and resulting breaches was estimated at $491 billion. i And these costs include more than just the money spent trying to directly respond to security breaches.
